Universal Studios is getting a lot of attention after opening a new Jurassic-themed area that brings dinosaurs to life. As of March 2026, Universal Studios Hollywood has soft-opened a new attraction called “Jurassic World: A Journey Through the Eras.” It is located on the Lower Lot and gives visitors a chance to feel like they are inside the movies. The area includes life-size dinosaurs, movie props, and live shows that make the experience exciting and realistic for guests of all ages.
“I am so excited to go visit the new section they opened; I will definitely bring going with my family soon!” exclaimed junior Isabella Sanchez.
In this new section, guests can walk through different time periods and learn about dinosaurs in a fun and interactive way. Visitors can also see characters from the movies like Ian Malcolm and Dennis Nedry, which makes the experience feel even more real. One of the most popular parts of the attraction is the Gyrosphere photo spot, where people can sit inside a replica of the vehicle from the films and take pictures. Many guests have said it feels like they are actually part of the Jurassic World story, not just watching it.
At the same time, Universal Orlando Resort is making important updates to its Jurassic Park area. The River Adventure ride is currently closed for a large refurbishment that is expected to improve the ride’s effects and overall experience. These changes show that Universal is working hard to keep their parks modern and exciting.
“I am planning to visit because I am a big fan of the Jurassic Park franchise,” said junior Victoria Beird.
Overall, the new Jurassic attraction in Hollywood and the updates in Orlando show how popular the franchise still is today. With realistic dinosaurs and fun experiences, Universal Studios is creating an adventure that visitors will remember for a long time to come.
