Bleacher People
January 30, 2022
Special people in this world are limited. They support your seemingly crazy dreams, and are always there when you crash on your journey. Whether you’re on a field, a court, a track, your fans are the ones who keep pushing you until you reach the potential they see in you. One thing is for sure though, and that’s that La Salle fans are the most special people any football team could ask for as only The Boys’ team knows how their screams and shouts were key to their success.
“We go full out. If there’s blackout, we dress in all black. If there’s ‘Let’s Go to the Beach, we dress in all Hawaiian outfits, and if there’s cancer awareness, we’ll wear all pink,” commented sophomore fanatics Miranda Grande and Emilie Reyes.
This pigskin has brought the old and even more new fans to riot for the team. Some of these new fans didn’t appreciate or understand football until our boys came together, and made it a sport for everyone.
“At first I didn’t get it, but someone’s mother at a game and my friends Sabrina, Sam Villamizar, and Maria Castro helped me understand it. Whenever they scored, we went crazy. I didn’t get the sport then, but now I do,” added sophomore fanatic Briana Del Oro.
Fans are more than fans in this school, too. They’re part of the team’s closest family and friends. Despite the season coming to an end, fans have not given up on their team, and they know how much power they can display on the field. It’s so appealing that they got their school more into the sport than ever before.
It takes more than this article for outsiders to understand how crazy and fun the fans are. It takes seeing those flashy signs and passionate screams. For a lot of these newbie fans, there’s nothing better than actually going and experiencing the energy these bleacher people will give to everyone who comes.
