Restaurant Review- Is Carbone Miami Worth the Hype?

Holland Ramos, Entertainment Editor

Since the day it opened back in 2020, the South Beach Italian restaurant, originally from East Manhattan, has created a real name for itself…so big it takes around three months to get a chance to sit inside and see for yourself.

The retro neon sign, green leather booths, and antiqued-mirror will send you right into Elvis era circa 1950 New York City–with a splash of nostalgia to pair with Miami’s own belle epoque feel, you get all of the vibes.

At Carbone, you’ll be dining among Miami’s finest, and eating enough for everyone in the restaurant. Not only will your eyes be struck by the eloquent decor designed by Kent Fulk, the entertainment you will get from people watching will give you dinner and a show.

You will be greeted from the time you step out of the car to the moment you get back into it. The friendly staff brings you a couple decades back and then seats you along with a menu half your size right on over to the stiff green booths.

Recommended Food item #1- complimentary garlic bread basket

Garlic bread

Bread! You love it, I love it, we all love it.

The complimentary garlic bread really sets the tone for the rest of your carb filled dinner.

Each slice of bread has just the right amount of fresh tasting garlic baked right into it, making the three-month wait worth it from the get go.

Recommended Food item #2- Spicy Rigatoni

The Spicy Rigatoni it the only pasta you’re going to want ever again, and I mean it.

The vodka sauce, it’s smooth, it’s light, and it’s creamy all in one. The pasta delivers the perfect amount of spice and sweetness after each bite. The serving size is a good sharing for a party of 2 or 3 ( of course depending how hungry you are).

The exclusive and glamorous restaurant may not be the most  affordable and practical for day-to-day dinning, but it is a very unique experience which makes it well worth it in my book.
