Queen Elizabeth II and Her Unfaltering Dedication to England

Queen Elizabeth II and Her Unfaltering Dedication to England

Queen Elizabeth II was the queen of England for 70 years. She was crowned in 1952 and reigned during one of the most the tumultuous centuries in human history. To understand the loss that people in the U.K are experiencing, one must understand what Queen Elizabeth represented and contributed to her country. In just the first four years of her reign, Queen Elizabeth was faced with the Suez Crisis, where the English lost their hold of the Suez Canal in Egypt.

This was the pebble in the landslide that led to the dissolving of the largest empire in the history of the world. Queen Elizabeth was the symbol and standard of English etiquette. She always put others before herself. She was once shot at six times at a parade, but she did not cower in fear, and continued with the parade for the people.

Queen Elizabeth as described by Ms. Liz Truss (the current Prime Minister of England),“Was the rock upon which modern Britain was built.”

She was the lighthouse that guided England to safety in some of its most trying times. So, when you think of Queen Elizabeth II and her passing, think of what she represented and how personal that loss must feel for the English people.
