As a UMIAMI senior, Alix  began to blow up by posting “get ready with me” videos where she would talk about her life and her funny experiences. In these videos, she speaks directly to the camera while doing her makeup. She explains every step and shows the product she uses. Her videos are so liked because they seem to remind people of a FaceTime call with their best friend. Chatting while doing makeup and hair has made her fans feel close to her.

“I don’t know a single girl in our school who wouldn’t know or follow her,” said junior Mariam Osman.

Because of her influence, the University  of Miami has become very popular.  Admissions rates have increased ever since influencers began going to UM which make the local community grow and become even more diverse.

Many young girls like her because she is casual and relatable. Unlike many other influencers, Earle is not scared to speak about her flaws o embarrassing moments. She is very open about her cosmetic procedures and her mistakes.  She talks about boys, her acne, and struggles like anxiety with lots of confidence. She is seen as honest and transparent which seems to have caught the eyes of many girls who struggle with their identity or insecurities.

“I think she’s a breath of fresh air. She’s more real and more human,” said junior Mia Huidobro.

In addition, her newfound fame has led to brands sponsoring trips, events, and parties that aid in opportunities and success. She recently attended  a trip to Dubai sponsored by Tarte Cosmetics, where she went on many fun activities with fellow influences as well as  with her mother, as the free plus one.

A major part of the brand Earle has developed around herself is her honesty, and when it comes to her skin, she couldn’t be more candid. She shares raw, unfiltered selfies of her breakouts over the course of the months she’s been taking the medication, and has been honest about the emotional toll of her acne.

“I thought that my life was over, and I thought it was never gonna get better,” she said in one Accutane update. “If I can post that online for millions of people to see, then you can leave your house, you can go to class, you can go to the grocery store, you’re fine.”

Because of her widespread influence, Alix has also been introduced to many celebrities such as Hailey Bieber, Selena Gomez, and Miley Cyrus, who Gen-Z adore. By reaching out and expanding her circle of friends, she is guaranteed future access to Hollywood and increased fame.
