The annual Coachella Music Festival in Palm Springs, California is probably one of the most hyped up music festivals of our generation. Every influencer, celeb, and average person, looks forward to this music event. Although they are there for the music, Coachella has somewhat been made into a fashion show. There is always a competition to see who is the best dressed. Each year the competition seems to be more intense.

Although this year was not the brightest of them all, I have been keeping up with influencers and their Coachella fits for as long as I can remember. It is safe to say that I was not impressed this year. It seems like everyone chose comfort over fashion. That is definitely okay considering that Coachella is in a desert and extremely hot, but I would not spend $1,000 on a VIP wrist band just to not come dressed. Dressing up is a lot of work and commitment, but it could also be a fun experience.

The celebs who attend have never necessarily been known for dressing up, but they go to perform on the Coachella stage. This year Bad Bunny, Kali, and Labrinth along with Zendaya as a special appearance, were the most hyped performances of the whole weekend. Bad Bunny is liked by most even those who don’t necessarily speak Spanish. Kali has an amazing stage presence and gets people to really feel the music and sing. By far the most outstanding and touching performance for the crowd was Zendaya and Labrinth. They had a night performance and played songs from the TV show, Euphoria. They absolutely killed the performance and many stated that they felt like Labrinth was performing like no one was watching. You can tell they really put in their all and gave the performance of the night.

Overall, Coachella is a very selective experience. It is very tiring to hear those who say they won’t be coming back next year, managing to come time and time again. If you’re willing to spend the days sweating and nights shivering to see your favorite artists all at once, Coachella is right for you.
