Football: 🏆 BACK-TO-BACK DISTRICT CHAMPIONS! 🏆
Your Royal Lion football team has done it again! The Royals defeated Ransom Everglades 40–20 to capture their second consecutive district championship the first back-to-back district titles in program history and just the third district championship in program history!
Ransom came out with the perfect storm to start the night. A downpour created difficult conditions, and a muffed punt recovered at the Royals’ 3-yard line led to an early Raiders touchdown, putting La Salle in an early 0–7 hole.
But the Royals answered. Freshman quarterback Jaziel Polanco electrified the crowd with a dynamic 20-yard touchdown run, tying the game at 7–7. From there, the Royals took control and never looked back.
La Salle dominated on both sides of the ball, showcasing the toughness, execution, and championship mentality that has defined this team all season. The defense capped off the night in style when Antwan Jones picked off a pass and returned it for a touchdown, sealing the 40–20 victory and another district championship for the Royals!
Back-to-back. History made. Royal Standard raised.
