With a new year comes, new beginnings , new changes and new endings. For the new students here at Immaculata-La Salle , a warm welcome awaits  them which allows them to envision a promising future. The turnaround for these transfers should be a secured positive outcome, hopefully spreading the word for new Royals next year.

Many of the transfers share the same mindset on their reasonings to choose ILS. These reasons vary between receiving religious instruction, enjoying sports , transitioning from public to private, and even coming in from other countries.

“I’ve really liked the school and I have been learning so much. The teachers are supportive and try to make you feel as included as possible,” said sophomore Sophia Castillo.

Castillo, wh recently moved from Venezuela to attend Krop Senior High School for a semester before coming to ILS, has found endless opportunities along with a helpful environment.

“So far, one of the best aspects has been the people; everyone has been so sociable and accepting,” she said

Castillo likes and respects her teachers has already found friends among the ILS student body.

“Everyone is so welcoming and nice. I feel I have found a home.

Transferring half way through a semester could certainly be difficult, yet even as apprehensive as it might seem for anyone who might want to be part of ILS , it is only a matter of adjusting. The diversity at ILS increases binding together a unique community.
