A new frozen yogurt shop has opened in South Miami, giving people another place to enjoy a sweet treat. Meli Frozen Yogurt opened its second location on September 1, 2026, at 6601 South Red Road.
Meli is known for its Greek-style frozen yogurt, which has a thick and creamy texture. The frozen yogurt is made without added sugar and uses a sweetener called allulose. The shop offers a classic tart flavor and another flavor that changes regularly.
One thing that makes Meli different is its variety of toppings. Customers can choose from fresh strawberries, blueberries, chocolate chips, granola, honey, and even baklava. One of its more unique options is the Dubai-style pistachio filling, which has become popular in desserts.
Meli first opened in Miami Shores in November 2025. After opening its first location, the business expanded to South Miami. The newer location is bigger and includes seating areas where customers can hang out with friends or family. The store also has colorful decorations that give it a fun atmosphere.
Prices depend on the size of the frozen yogurt and the toppings customers choose. At the Miami Shores location, a small six-ounce cup costs around $6, while a medium eight-ounce cup costs around $8.50. Extra toppings usually cost about $1 each.
The Miami Shores location is open from 1:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and closes at 9:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The South Miami location has been listed as open from noon to 10 p.m. daily.
With two locations now open, Meli is becoming another option for frozen yogurt lovers in Miami. Whether customers want something simple or a cup filled with toppings, Meli gives them the chance to create their own dessert and try something new. The shop offers a place for people to stop by after school, spend time together, or enjoy a treat.
