As the weather is starting to transition to summer, what most people crave for a hot, sunny day is a cold, refreshing beverage to cool them down. Well, if you’re at nearby John F. Kennedy Park, no need to fear, A.C’s Icees food truck has got you covered.

A.C’s Icees is conveniently parked at Kennedy, located in Coconut Grove, waiting for customers to come by and enjoy cold frozen lemonades and delicious food and snacks.

The owner of the company, Allan Cohen, aka “A.C,” started his business of serving frozen lemonade and hot dogs in 1978. Fun fact: It was the first food truck in Florida!

“I wanted to start a business here because I love this park,” explained Mr. Cohen, wearing a signature A.C’s Icees shirt.

Everyday, the white, lemon-themed truck is parked at the start of Kennedy Park.

“You know, I just do everything better than anyone else. I make all my stuff fresh everyday,” said Mr. Cohen.

Of course, Mr. Cohen isn’t there himself everyday, but there’s always an employee in the truck, ready to help and serve customers.

“I always pass by it when I’m driving. I love getting frozen lemonade on a hot day there,” said senior Samantha Santiago.

Now, every time you pass by Kennedy Park, you now know a bit more about the white truck, parked everyday there, with its various snacks and beverages to sell to customers on a hot, summer day.
