What is Coachella?
For those who don’t know, Coachella is a music festival that is held once a year where artists are invited to perform.
This year Coachella took place April 14-16 and April 21-23
Coachella has always been held art the same spot, the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.
Some of the artists performing there are BLACKPINK, Bad Bunny, Rosalia, and Becky G
Black Pink is a Korean girl group which debuted in 2016 with YG Entertainment
The girl group consists of four members, Jennie, Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo.
Ever since their debut song “Whistle,” the group has earned considerable fame.
They have been the most streamed K-pop girl group on Spotify, and they were the first K-pop group to perform at Coachella back in 2019.
It will be their second time performing at the festival.
The songs they are performing at Coachella include “ Pink Venom,” “ Kick It,” “ Kill This Love,” “Solo,” (Jennie’s solo), “Flower,” (Jisoo’s solo), and many more.
Becky G is an American singer and actress from Inglewood, California whose real name is Rebecca Marie Gomez.
Posting videos online of her making covers is how she got recognition back in 2011.
“G.L.A.M.” is the girl group she was a part of in 2009, and that is when her music career began.
At Coachella she is performing hit songs “Shower,” “Chanel,” and many more.
Bad Bunny is a singer and rapper from Puerto Rico whose real name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio.
His music is many genres, but mostly categorized as Latin trap or reggaeton.
The songs he is performing in Coachella are “Titi Me Pregunto,” “La Difícil,” “Efecto,” and more.
Rosalia Vila Tobella is a Spanish singer and songwriter, born and raised in Barcelona
Given her musical styles, she is called an unusual pop star.
Her genres are similar to Bad Bunny’s, but she also does some Flamenco Pop.
The songs she will be performing in Coachella are “Saoko,” “Bizcochito,” “ La Fama,” and many more.
