Greetings, ILS Family.

Track: The ILS  Track Team wrapped up their regular season with a strong performance in the district championship meet. The Girls team finished in 2nd place out of 10 schools for the district runner up. The Boys finished in 1st place out of 10 schools to claim the district Championship. The Girls team was led by seniors Alfonsina Santucho and Mary Scheuerle who qualified to move on to regionals. The Boys team was led by senior Alexander Toledo who also qualified in all three events to move on to regionals. Many other individuals and relay teams also qualified to move on to the regional championships. Below is the list of all who qualified for the next round.

Softball:  The Softball team won its Senior Night game vs Monisgor Pace 12-2. During this Senior Night, we got the chance to honor our two seniors, Emilie Escobar and Miriam Gonzalez. Both girls will be missed and looked to help the team close out the season with a conference and district championship. The team is the number one overall seed at the conference tournament, which starts this week. It’s the team’s first year in the tournament. The Lady Royals will face off against the winner of Horeb Christian and PACE.

Boys’ Volleyball:  The Boys’ Varsity Volleyball team defeated Archbishop Carroll in straight sets 25-7, 25-16 and 25-19. The team was led by Marco Blavia with 4 kills, 5 Aces, 5 Digs and 1 assist. Lucas Barragan added 18 assists, 5 Aces and 2 digs, while Alex Verite had 7 Kills , 4 Aces and 2 Digs. Justin Pastor also had a good match with 3 kills and 1 block.

Tuesday, April 25, 2023: Softball hosts the semi-final conference playoff game vs the winner of Horeb and Pace at Palmetto Bay.

Beach Volleyball travels to Chaminade Madonna for a district match vs Monsignor Pace.

Boys’ Volleyball travels to Coral Gables for matches.

Wednesday, April 26, 2023: Baseball SENIOR NIGHT * vs South Miami Senior high at St. Thomas University 6:30 PM first pitch. The ceremony begins at 6PM before the game.

District Championship Beach game 4PM @ Chaminade (If they win Tuesday)

Thursday, April 27, 2023: Softball Championship Conference game at Miami Country Day 6PM first pitch. (If they win on Tuesday).

Baseball hosts Somerset South Homestead for a 2:30PM first pitch at Tamiami Park.

Saturday, April 29, 2023: Sailing Team travels to North Carolina for the SAISA Mallory qualifier.
