“I think the Super Bowl was rigged because the NFL wanted Travis Kelce to win. He is in a relationship with Taylor Swift; of course, they wanted to get more viewers,” she said.

Another aspect of the Super Bowl that was talked about heavily was the Half Time Show. It was performed by Usher and Alicia Keys. Usher performed over 12 songs and his performance was considered by some to be lackluster. Although having songs with other artists such as Pitbull, Mariah Carey, and Justin Bieber, he did not have any of those musicians perform with him. This was a disappointment to Senior Lia Broder.

“I think the Half Time Show was terrible. I am still waiting for Justin Bieber. Usher was not hyped and did not keep me entertained,” she said.

Because families have Super Bowl parties at home, this creates bonding and brings people together. It is an American tradition where people share meals, wear matching jerseys, and even play touch football with each other while the game is going on. Senior Renata Alvarez Gil experienced moments like this with her family at their Super Bowl party.

“I loved watching the Super Bowl with my family. We held a barbecue and enjoyed burgers and hot dogs. I also wore an NFL jersey to show my support,” she said.

Although the 2024 Super Bowl is over, we can eagerly wait till next year to see what teams are playing, what new players are in relationships, and who will be performing the Half Time Show.
