The ILS girls’ volleyball team has been on an outstanding run this season, with a remarkable record of 11 wins after thus far encountering only 2 losses. Their hard work has led to a nine-game winning streak, proof of their growth and determination as a team. The most challenging game of this season came against Carrollton, pushing the team to almost losing. Overcoming that game showed not only their skill but also the values they have developed together: respect, sportsmanship, hard work, trust, positivity, and teamwork

“The team is really good and always hyped,” shared sophomore Allegra Morales.

Allegra, the team’s setter, shared her thoughts on the team’s harmony, drive, and streak. explaining how their energy plays a key role in the team’s success. Morales has been great at setting up plays and keeping the team motivated during intense moments.

Another standout player, Daniella, serves as the team’s libero. She emphasized the effort each member puts into every single game. She shares that the team’s shared determination is a major factor in their amazing winning streak. Daniella’s role on their team has been crucial in helping the team gain many victories.

“My team always pushes me to do my best,” added sophomore Francesca Yunis.

Francesca, the team’s outside hitter, expressed how grateful she is for the encouragement she receives from her supportive teammates. She said that all the support she has gained from her teammates has helped her become a stronger and better player. Her sharp and dynamic skills have helped the team defeat their challenging opponents.

As districts are approaching fast, the girls’ volleyball team remains focused on continuing their winning ways. Their combination of talent, teamwork, precision, and determination has set the standard for what could be an unforgettable season.
