You may ask, what is a Eucharistic Revival? This is the response of the entire Catholic Church in the U.S. to the divine invitation of re-centering our lives on the Real Presence of the Eucharist.

Wednesday March 22nd, St Thomas University hosted a Eucharistic Revival ADOM High School Student Gathering welcoming many high schools under the Archdiocese to celebrate  this beautiful day through the faith of the Eucharist.

It is a three-year initiative that aims to inspire, educate, and unite. In a world full of pain and suffering, the revival is meant to show everyone the wonders that the True Presence of Jesus can truly heal the soul.

There are four pillars of the National Eucharistic Revival which are:

  • Personal Encounters: Bring your people to Jesus.
  • Reinvigorating Devotion: Receive Jesus. Worship Jesus.
  • Deepening Formation: Learn and preach the truth about Jesus.
  • Missionary Sending: Go out and bring Jesus to the world.

These pillars can help you throughout the day to spread God’s truth and even make you a better person by observing details. Do not hesitate to research how the Eucharist is present in your life and especially in ILS’s roots. We were built on a powerfully intimate relationship with Christ, so we should live it out.

Campus Ministry, Mrs. Milagros Beltran, Mr. Julio Soriano, and Ms. Manso chose seven students to represent ILS—two seniors, two juniors, one sophomore, and two freshmen to enjoy this day at St. Thomas University, including me!

My experience was amazing!

As I listened to inspiring people talk about their journey with faith, including Katie Prejean McGrady, an international Catholic speaker, author, and radio show host who spoke about the ups and downs of high school, I learned many things about sharing our faith and spreading it with the world.

We were then invited to attend Mass presided by Archbishop Thomas Wenski which was an honorable experience for all of us. He has a strong presence of the Holy Spirit that surrounds him at all times. This Eucharistic Revival really influenced everyone there to become better human beings on a daily basis.
