Fearless (Taylor’s Version) was released April 9th, 2021 after Taylor Swift successfully re-recorded it, bringing it back into her ownership.

After leaving her old record label, Swift lost all the rights to her previous six albums that came before Lover. Eventually, she was able to strike a deal with the company and was finally allowed to re-record her albums and earn back the rights to her masters.

This album contains a total of 26 songs, coming to a total listening time of one hour and 46 minutes. Out of the 26, six songs are vault tracks. The vault tracks are songs that were made for the album that never got the light of day when the original album was released.

Two vault tracks were actually made singles before the release date. These two included “You All Over Me” (feat. Maren Morris) and “Mr. Perfectly Fine.”

Although the album is old and simply being re-recorded in this release, the fans have been loving it.

The subtle differences in the songs are what truly make the album an incredible experience for all listeners. When comparing the old and new recordings the subtle differences between the artist’s voice, breath, and even word choice truly show how much she has grown throughout the years and as an artist.

In general, this album will always be a Taylor Swift classic. It’s nice to see “Country Taylor” make a comeback when she’s been able to explore so many sides of her musicality already.

Out of all the vault tracks, the most notable would have to be “Mr. Perfectly Fine.” This song was written about her ex-turned-friend Joe Jonas and even now his wife, actress Sofia Turner, was obsessed with the song.

It’s great to see the incredible character development they have been through with this. From having a somewhat messy breakup to becoming great friends, it amazing to see that a song can be released about an ex without drama going down, especially since both celebrities are extremely happy with their current significant others.

Many may be wondering, what’s next for Swift? Well, it seems that you won’t have to wait too much longer for another re-recording.

It is speculated that the next album to be released is 1989, especially since we got a teaser of the new version of “Wildest Dreams” in an ad for a new kid’s cartoon.

Along with this, on her appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert”, she had been making references to different dates and numbers. This has led fans to believe the first single will be coming on May 14th while the album will be coming some time in June.
