A senior, Aubree, was formerly a competitive dancer for ballet, hip hop, and other forms. A keen advocate of Diabetes Type 1 education, as she is a diabetic herself, Aubree is eager about new challenges.
The ocean holds a special regard for junior Brecelis. One of her goals is to be in a leadership position for ADMA by senior year. ADMA members pray, play, and engage with the children of Notre Dame D'Haiti Church in Little Haiti.
Baking is her passion. A senior, Briana looks forward to college acceptance as she is very busy with the application process. Taking care of others is one of Briana's many goals. In her spare time, she often babysits and tutors young children.
Five dogs are not a lot to handle for senior Daniela Beltran. Along with playing volleyball and baking, she also enjoys driving her car while listening to rap music.
Recently arrived all the way from Port Au Prince, Haiti, Ella plays tennis, reads novels, and longs to attend a highly ranked northeastern university. Even though she misses her homeland, Ella, a senior, is grateful about being in a much safer place.
A member of the Drama Club, Ernesto, a sophomore, likes vacationing in Sarasota and listening to music. Ernesto is excited to be a part of the three Drama Club productions this year: Little Shop of Horrors, Little Women, and Les Miserables.
Did you know Eva has a twin sister? You have likely never met her because she attends a different school. Eva, a senior, played soccer through middle school until last year. Now her sites are set on exploring new avenues such as sewing, knitting, and cooking.
Fashion is important to Isabella, a senior. A big fan of music, Isabella has a special talent---she actually designed the costumes for some of the school plays including Clue, Sound of Music, and The Addams Family.
Jasmine, who enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends, also fosters animals. As part of her community service, she has cared for newborn kittens. A senior, she is very much excited to be a part of the SALTT trip this year.
An avid hiker, senior Luci has trekked Zion National Park, the Smokey Mountains, and Niagara Falls among many other colorful sites. After school, Luci earns her spending money through a part-time job at a local bookstore.
Sophomore Luna Fernandez played soccer for close to seven years. Today, she spends time with her friends going to the beach or dining out with family. Currently, her favorite streaming series is Suits.
Graduating is top of mind for senior Martina. Originally from Chile, she frequently visits her homeland in the southern hemisphere. One of her hobbies is travel given that she has already visited the Chilean desert, Mexico, and New York. Her goal is to attend the University of Florida.
An avid Drama Club member who serves as the Head of Sound, Maria is fond of reading and writing. She has actually written a book based on a dream she experienced which she turned into a fictional work. As a senior, she is very excited about attending Grad Bash.
Ballerina Valentina, a junior, actually attended a pre-professional program for talented dancers. To develop her ballet skills, she moved all the way to Philadelphia. Happy to be back in Miami, Valentina presently applies her abilities to teaching younger dancers at her aunt's studio.
Victoria loves to read, particularly fantasy and romance; she is also a big fan of thrillers. A senior, she presently serves as the Head of Hair and Make Up for the ILS Drama Department.
Ms. Ramirez is in her third year advising the Royal Courier and her second advising iNklings, the literary magazine. She serves as Media Department Chair at ILS, collaborating with LTV and Signum yearbook. Having earned a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism at Loyola University, New Orleans, followed by a Master of Science in Student Media Advising, she has been involved in publications since middle school at St. Timothy where she was Editor in Chief of the paper, going on to become a Features Editor in high school and eventually Editor in Chief for the Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto. Before coming to ILS, she advised the newspaper at yearbook at Belen Jesuit Preparatory School for nine and six years, respectively.
