On Thursday, they competed against the #1 seed, Cypress Bay. The Royals lost in a 4-1 match, but we applaud their improvement and their growth in the last season, finishing 2nd in the district and 11th in the region with a final 7-3 record.
Baseball: The ILS Varsity Baseball team celebrated Senior night this past Tuesday at St Thomas University vs Coral Park HS. The team honored seniors Mason Tejeda, William Fornos, Jeffrey Lopez, Nicolas Trontz, Isaiah Williams and Jaime Luna. Each contributed greatly to the teams 11-3 victory vs. the Coral Park Rams, accumulating 6 of the 11 team hits and 7 of the teams 11 runs batted in. The offense was led by seniors William Fornos and Mason Tejeda who had 2 RBis each. Senior Jeffrey Lopez secured the win on the mound, throwing 4 innings and allowing zero earned runs. It was a wonderful night with family and friends, and one that these young men will cherish for years to come. The Varsity team will go into their district playoffs this upcoming week ending the season winning 3 out of their final 4 games.
